Features comparison - Acronis True Image 2013 vs Norton 360

Similar Features at a Glance

With both Acronis True Image 2013 and Norton 360, users are getting outstanding software programs that have been tried and tested by users all over the world. While there are some key differences in each of the software's features, there are also noticeable similarities, which may make the buying choice all the more difficult.

One of the main similarities between Acronis True Image 2013 and Norton 360 is the fact that they each have multiple options for securing your data. They also each protect the same types of data to ensure the full protection of your system. Both software options protect your system data and personal data. They protect everything from your personal settings to your music, apps, folders, photos, and full system backups.

They also both offer the same type of backup systems, which allow for constant backups or scheduled backups. These software programs are constantly working in the background to ensure that any changes that are made are saved, should your system crash or become corrupted.

Key Differences in Both Versions

One of the main differences is that Acronis tends to offer more advanced features than Norton does. The Acronis version works with Windows 8, while Norton operates on Windows 7 and lower. While a release patch for Windows 8 has not been announced by Norton as of yet, it is possible that this will be imminent.

Another difference in the two programs is that Acronis has seemed to embrace the latest technologies further than Norton, introducing cloud storage and all new supported devices. While Norton relies more on the traditional storage options of DVD, USB, FireWire, and Blu-Ray, Acronis has broadened their storage options to include mobile file access from smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
